About ESDC

The Eurasian Schools Debating Championship (ESDC) is a WSDC-style annual open English debating tournament for high school teams. ESDC takes place at the beatiful campus of Robert College, Istanbul and is organized by Robert College Debate Society. ESDC was first organized in 2011 and has been organized annually since then. A huge importance is placed on the adjudication quality and the experience of debaters. ESDC provides both accommodation and transportation to every delegation that request it. Breakfast is served at the hotel. Lunch, dinner and a variety of snacks are provided at the campus. We are looking forward to ESDC '25!
